Le Bureau de Sûreté et de Sécurité du Système des Nations Unies (UNDSS) en République Démocratique du Congo recrute parmi les nationaux qualifiés, un opérateur radio. L'équipe de gestion de la sécurité (SMT) est responsable de la sécurité de tout le personnel du système des Nations Unies dans le pays.
Ce poste est financé par les agences de l'équipe de gestion de la sécurité et sera administré par le PNUD, sous la supervision opérationnelle de l'UNDSS. La prolongation du contrat est soumise à l’évaluation des performances et à la disponibilité des fonds.

Devoirs et responsabilités
Sous la supervision du Coordinateur de la Sécurité et de la Sûreté des Nations Unies ou de son Assistant, l'opérateur radio effectuera les tâches suivantes :
- Ensure communications with the various United Nations stations, by HF, telephone, Satphone, electronic mail and the reception of messages received and sent;
- Ensure monitoring of staff mission movements in the field. (Vehicle Tracking);
- Ensure daily HF radio checks with field offices, and carry out daily (VHF) radio checks. Maintain monitoring sheets and report to the security manager;
- Keep records of various activities carried out in the radio room;
- Maintain an inventory of telecommunications equipment for common use as well as that of users of the SNU telecommunications network;
- Perform any other task deemed useful by your supervisor;
- Maintain the directories of Telephone Numbers and call signs of UN Agencies. ;
- Centralize the various letters received and submit them to the security manager;
- Confer with the supervisor on the best way to improve the performance of the network service and the inter-agency Radio room;
- Describe the type of most important decisions that the incumbent is called upon to make regularly and their repercussions;
Guide users of the common telecommunications network; - Maintain telecommunications equipment in good working order;
- Report any irregularities in the network and any equipment failure;

Required skills and experience
Education:
- Secondary studies or technical certificate in Telecommunications (Radio Transmission) or electronics;
- Knowledge of the use of standard SNU telecommunications equipment (HF, VHF, Satphone) would be an asset.
Experience:
- Three years of work experience in the telecommunications field. (Use of telecommunications equipment) for holders of secondary school diplomas
Required language(s)
- Perfect command of written and spoken French and the local language (Swahili) is required.
Good knowledge of English is an asset.
